THE GREEN MILE

-Book/ Film: The Green Mile
-Genre:Drama film
- Author/ Director: Frank Darabont
-Characters/ Actors:Tom Hanks, David Morse, Bonnie Hunt, Michael Clarke Duncan, Harry Dean Stanton and James Cromwell
-Review:

The Green Mile is a american drama film directed by Frank Darabont and adapted by him from the 1996 Stephen King novel of the same name. The film is told in a flashback format and stars Tom Hanks as Paul Edgecomb and Michael Clarke Duncan as John Coffey, and tells the story of Paul and his life as a death row corrections officer during the Great Depression in the United States. This movie was filmed in Louisiana, United States.

The plot of this movie, Paul Edgecomb worked in was called the "Green Mile" by the guards, because the condemned prisoners walking to their execution are said to be walking "the last mile" to the electric chair. One prisoner call, John Coffey, he is a farmer, gian and blackmen; he stay here because, he killing two young white girls. He demostrates that he is not a killer, opposite john, fearing darkness, and crying almost constantly for apparently no reason. One day, John reveals extraordinary powers by healing Paul urinary tract infection and resurrecting a mouse. The wife's of the boss of Paul has a problem cereveral, John with his powers try to cure her.

In my opinion the acting of Tom Hanks was exceptional, and Michael Clarke Duncan was exeptional, but background music was dispointing. And the direction played was a principal role in this movie.

One a scene, when John electrocuted in the chair was very exciting, but has very bad special effects and the music was not appropriate for that time.Other scene is when the mouse, called Mr. bells dies, is saddest scene that I've ever seen from this movie.

A film is infused with an expansive, and transmits a sadness and sorrow , sometimes I have the impression that John is going to died in few minutes.
If you want to watch a movie to cry this is indicated...

Toy Story

Book/ Film: Toy Story

Genre: Animation

Author/ Director: John Lasseter

Characters/ Actors: Animation Characters

Review:

Toy Story

Toy Story is a funny film. It is an animation produced in 1995 by John Lasseter. This film happens the present in Andy’s house, the toy’s owner.

The film is about toys that are alive; they speak, walk and run when nobody is seeing them. The toys want to see happy to Andy. The most important characters in this film are Woody and Buzz Lightyear. They are best friends. Beforehand, Buzz was Woody’s competition to be Andy’s favorite toy.
We can see different problems between them, like a fight that finish with they outside the house. Afterwards they lost and end up with Cid, the worst boy of the city. Here they are alone and sad, and want to escape

The characters are fantastic in the film. All their movements are really perfect. Sure they used their best technology, to make a big film and they did it. We enjoy every scence of the film.

The film has a lot of voices and background music in the filmmaking.
In all the film we can enjoy the voice of my favorite character, Woody, by Tomm Hanks, the voice of Buzz Lightyear by Tim Allen, Andy’s voice by John Morri’s and Slinky, the dog, by Jim Varney.
About the music, is well known the song “you’ve got a friend in me”. It is a thing characteristic of the film.

The story is the best animation film in the last years. It can be watched by any person from any age. It is hard to for let once you watch it and I recomendate it.

Cast Away

Film: Cast Away
Genre: Drama
Author/ Director: Robert Zemeckis
Characters/ Actors: Tom Hanks, Helen Hunt, Nick Searcy, Christopher North.

Review:
The film is about a man who lived in a big city, working hard in a delivery company. His life was very boring until one day, he had to travel to Hawai for eight days and the plane in which he was travelling, crashed in to the sea. This man was the only survivor and he needed to gets to the beach and find a way to get back to his city.
He arrived on Cook Island and stayed there for four years.
He tried to find a solution but always found himself back in the same situation. He had a horrible time, because he wasn't used to to the wild life. Furthemore he was suffering and missing his girlfriend and his real life.
Time passed and the man found a ship to take him back home.

In my opinion "Shipwrecked" is a fantastic movie, because it includes many things and values. You learn that you should be careful with your life and be thankful for got it.
Is a movie that I saw many times. I recommend you to watch it because I'm sure you'll like it!
