Batman: “The Dark Knight“

Book/ Film: Batman: “The Dark Knight“

Genre: Action

Author/ Director: Christopher Nolan

Characters/ Actors: Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Heath Ledger, Gary Oldman. Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Morgan Freeman

 Review:

-Batman “the dark knight“ is a Christopher Nolan’s film. The main actor is Christian Bale, one of the best actors of Hollywood, acting as Bruce Wayne. In the film, there are many actors like Michael Caine, Heath Ledger, Gary Oldman, Aaron Ecknart, Maggia Gyllenhaal and Morgan Freeman. It is an action film.

-Batman, Gordon and Harvey Dent are forced to deal with the chaos unleashed by an anarchist mastermind known only as the Joker, a he drives each of them to their limits.

-The editing team started work in Los Angeles, traveled to London and Chicago, and then back to London and Los Angeles. In London, the editors cut the film in editing suites outside the city on weekdays and worked with the director at his home on weekends. The director had also requested that the editing team keep Batman Begins online as a reference. The filmmaking team takes more time to focus on creating the best film possible. And, on the dark knight, they have created a Batman that is ready to soar.

-This movie has some great background music, adding to the suspense and thrill of the movie. While not a soundtrack someone may want to go to buy or download, it is definitely one that entices viewers to stay on the edge of their seats while watching the movie.

-In my opinion, Batman “the dark knight“ is an excellent movie, but it is worse than Batman “Begins”. The action is great, and the plot is deeper and engrossing. I applaud Heath Ledger as the real star of the show, as Batman’s most deadly enemy, the Joker.

This film shows us that people sometimes is blond for getting money, in this case they ruin the life a man without care about his feelings, it shows a capitalist society.

In the movie the special effects, in the last scenes are incredible, when they make the terrible storm, to try that Truman doesn’t escape of the cruel true.
In this movie you have to analyze the simboligists too, for example the name of the protagonist TRUMAN that have the symbolisms of a true man, the director with his staff are on the moon of the set, that represented the feelings of the people, another thing is the name of the city Seaheaven that means sea heaven and the slogan of the city which is "Omnis pro uno" that in Latin means all for one that one obviously is Truman.

That movie makes you fell terrible because all the things that Truman have to pass to get free for that lovely prison that they created for him, but is a good movie to understand a lot of things.
In my opinion, this film is excellent, because it’s very moving and very realistic.
In the modern society the people don´t care about the rest.

He can’t afford a department or a room to live, and when he finally finds a promising job, he has to do training for six month. He must fight hard to give a better life to his son and to himself.
The aspect which has more influence in this film is the acting. Will Smith managed to express all the feelings of Christopher though him, for example when he left ashamed for have to take his little son to the bathroom of a station to sleep. And Jaden Smith, in spite of acting like a little boy who doesn’t understand some of his life, he show us the innocence than only a child can show.
We mustn’t consider the brilliant performance of Will only; if not that we must take into account the plot of the film, which is based on the self-improvement, values and dreams to achieve. It is a very positive concept for people.
In my opinion, this film is excellent, because it’s very moving and very realistic. Despite the fact that in this type of film there isn't any great special effects, or something extraordinary, it could captivate us through the performances of the Smith against the hard life they have to live.

City of God

Book/ Film: City of God
Genre: Drama

Author/ Director: Fernando Meirelles

Characters/ Actors: Alexandre Rodrigues, Douglas Silva

Review:

The City of God is a Fernando Meirelles’s film. This movie is from 2002. Their main actors are Alexandre Rodrigues known as “Cohete” and Douglas Silva as “Ze Pequeño.” This film was shot in a “favela” of Rio de Janeiro” between 2001 and 2002. It is a drama film.

This film shows the different problems of poor people living in a favela. It’s star talking about how poor people have to moved to a favela of Rio de Janeiro because they haven’t enough money to pay a rent in the city. It also talks about the increase in organized crime, drugs and violence. At the beginning of the movie they show us who will be the main characters, a boy called “Cohete” who wants to be a cameraman and another boy called “Ze Pequeño” who wants to be a gangster and a drug dealer.

The scenery of City of God is amazing, most of time of the film passes in the favela but sometimes are shown parts of the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro which is awesome, its beaches are nice with white sand and the blue water of the sea.

Respect the acting and the actor there is nothing to say, they are marvelous, most of the actors were from the favela in which the film was recorded, because the director had to talk with the boss of the favela which allowed them to shoot the film with the only condition that they will put people from the favela in the movie, which also helps to give more credibility to the story.

In my Opinion City of God is an excellent movie and I recommend to see it, the actors behaved like really professionals, the scenery is really amazing, also the film was bases on a real story. This movie also show you how poor people live, and the tings they have to support, the difficulties that they have and so. The phrase that identified the movie was “Fight and never survive ... Run and never escape”.

I really enjoyed watching this movie and if possible I will watch it again.

The film takes place in a city of monsters in which the most important rule is that the monsters have no contact with humans in their job. The monsters work in a factory of "scares", called Monster Inc., of which they get energy for their city scaring children while they are sleeping.

James Sullivan and Michael Wazouski are the main characters; they are best friends and very funny monsters. They have a very special connection between them so they spend much of their lives together but there will be something that it’ll change their lives forever. Both get in a serious problem with Boo, a small human girl who came into the monster’s world by mistake. Sullivan and Wazouski will have to take care of the girl, hiding her from the company and then return her quickly to the human’s world.

I particularly recommend it to spend time together with the whole family, kids will have fun with the adventures of these friendly monsters and adults will join them and enjoy the movie. It has a good mixture of feelings like nostalgia, happiness, worry. You will never know what is going to happen. It will always keep an atmosphere of surprise until the end.

Home Alone

Book/ Film: Home Alone

 Genre: Comedy

 Author/ Director: Chris Columbus

Characters/ Actors: Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, John Heard, Catherine O'Hara, Roberts Blossom

Review:
Home Alone

It doesn’t matter if you stay alone in home, with brave and security you can break the order. That’s the message that “Home Alone” teach us, starring Macaulay Caulkin as Kevin Mcalister and Joe Pessi and Daniel Stern as the thief’s. The 1990 film was written by Chris Columbus. In the colds suburbs of U.S Kevin must affront a series of conflicts that put his life in risk. Was a film very well received for the public, with simple effects and a lot of laughs, is a film to watch over and over.

Discussions make Kevin to be in his own room being arrogant, this makes him fell asleep and unfortunately stay home alone. Living his own life and making whatever he wants, but nothing is easy and peaceful, knowing that Kevin is alone a couple of thief’s wants to empty the house, putting a series of traps making his life impossible

The director creates the effect of simplicity and exiting, showing the innocence of Kevin, not too many effects, just a great work by the producer using simple objects to make fun until we cry. The cast was a right reason to watch it. The innocence of Caulkin shows the other face of the film

The place was the perfect scene to film, during winter all people stay at home, that’s what the thief’s take advantage of, and the all series of traps are genially, since Christmas accessories to paint cans will beat the power of robbery. The costumes are no too much, just every day clothes, and some other Christmas things.

Home alone is a excuse too stay for hours laughing, it’s a great film that with the years wins more prestige and recognition, and shows us that in complicated situations, having a little patience we can fix the problems, no matter sex or age
